Let’s get to know her better? 

 

 

Rosinha please tell us, does your name have any special meaning? What’s the inspiration behind it ? 

The name Rosinha was chosen because my best friend loves pink and thought the name would look cute on me.

 

When you were born? And where?

I was born in Portugal, in Montijo

 

Do you remember the moment when you met mommy/daddy for the very first time? 

I was with my brothers and my mommy and my best friend chose me to be a part of her life.

 

What was your first thought when you noticed that your pawrents do not have paws, do not bark or have furry skin and a tail?

I was happy and relieved because I don’t like other animals very much.

 

How did the idea of creating an instagram account for you came out? 

My best friend loves to take me pictures, so her friends started telling her that she should create me an instagram page  because I always look good in pictures and I am very good at being a photo model.

 

 

We noticed you really have a great talent for taking pictures, what’s your secret for being such a great dog model ? Can you give some tips? 

I don’t have a secret, it’s natural. As soon as she puts the camera in front of me I start looking everywhere to pose. Sometimes she says “biscoito” and gets my attention too, especially when she promises me cookies from Cooka’s Cookies.

 

Do you like dressing up for hot or cold weather or for special occasions? 

I like to dress up for special occasions, especially when it is cold. But I also like to wear a dress when is hot.

 

Do you have a favorite special outfit? 

I really like a gray coat with fur on the collar, it is very warm and very nice. I usually only wear it on special occasions.

 

What is your favorite color? Or the colour you like to wear the most?

My favorite color is pink. It is one of the colors I use the most.

 

If you had to choose a one accessory to wear the rest of your life, what would it be?

I would choose to use my hairpins so the hair doesn’t get in my eyes.

 

Now talking about food, what is your favorite kind of snack?

I love to eat various snacks but my favorites are cookies of any flavor.

 

 

Is there anything you really don’t like to eat? 

I don’t like cookies that are just cereal, I dismiss them.

 

Your parents are hoomans, but if they would be furry too, what kind of breed would they be?

Yorkshire Terrier like me!

 

Would they be good doggies? Or naughty?

They would be good, very good!

 

What is the thing you find most strange about hoomans? And what thing you like most?

The strangest thing is the fact that they sometimes do everyday tasks with strange, noisy devices. The thing I like the most is that they like to play as much as I do.

 

How would you describe a great and fun day in your life?

A great, fun day is those days when we leave in the morning and go for a drive and suddenly we get to the beach and then sleep under a hat and do a lot of walking!

 

Do you get scared of anything?

Yes, vacuum cleaners and lawn mowers.

 

If you could take your pack on a holiday, where would you go? 

I would go to Mexico.

 

And if you only can pack 3 items in your doggie bag, what would those be?

Water, cookies and a blanket

Playful, sweet and sleepy

 

We are curious.. how do you keep your fur so beautiful, do you often go to a spa? 

I take care of my diet, bathe with good hair products, and go to the spa a few times

 

If you could be President of the world what 3 things would you change?

It would give all pets a happy home, end war in the world, and define mandatory measures to combat global warming

 

You are our “Dog of May”. Do you like this month? If yes, what’s your favourite thing about it? 

I like it a lot because we start to see more flowers, the days are longer, and we are close to summer!

 

What are your dreams for the future?

My dreams for the future are to continue to have an excellent quality of life, to meet more people and to continue to take good opportunities (like this interview) that I never dreamed possible.

 

Please… tell us something nobody knows about you (a secret).

My biggest secret is having a panic of vacuum cleaners and lawn machines!

Is Rosinha your first fur baby?

No, we already had other animals

 

What is the one thing that makes you laugh the most about rosinha? 

When she communicates with us (seems to talk to us) asking for things (like cookies, to go outside)

 

What is the most unique feature that makes rosinha so special for you?

It is the fact that you are so lovely and sweet with all the people

 

Does Rosinha ever get naughty?

Sometimes she likes to go inside the cars to sunbathe and does not respond when we look for her.

 

If you could give advise to new dog pawrent, what would you tell them? 

before welcoming the dog into your home, start by understanding what the dog’s needs are and whether you have the capacity to welcome the dog into your home and give it all the conditions, attention and dedication it needs.

 

 

What is the most challenging part about being a dog mom/dad? 

The most challenging part is teaching the routines at first, but they learn quickly. Just be patient.

 

And what do you consider the biggest reward about being a dog parent?

That’s the one, being the mother of a dog. That in itself is already a reward.

 

How many nick-names does rosinha has? Can you tell us?

She has some like: Rosie, Rosita, “Quida”, fedo (when she is stinky (fedorenta) – ahah)

 

 

Have you ever played any prank to Rosinha? Or along with her? 

I have preached to her, sometimes I hide from her and then surprise her by suddenly appearing

Can you share an amazing priceless moment  well spend with Rosinha, something that you would never forget?

I will never forget a moment when I was on a terrace with friends and my boyfriend and a lady asked me to place Rosinha on the lap of another lady (who was paraplegic because she suffered an accident). The lady got emotional because before the accident she had dogs.
