Miss Custodia

 September is here and we are excited for the golden month. We especially love to play with all those fallen leaves and take our hoomans for long walks in the hills of Sintra. And September is also the month we celebrate a super cute baby-girl named CUSTODIA. Let’s raise a paw for this bundle of joy.

 

 

Hello Custodia, it is so pawsome to meet you. Can you tell us when were you born and where?

I was born in Leiria at the 14th of june, 2021

 

Do you know your star sign?

Yes ! Gemini 😀

 

Do you remember the first time you met your pawrents?

The first time I met my pawrents was on the 14th of July, precisely when I was 1 month old, I spent the entire time sleeping while my brothers where chewing my pawrents laces 🙂 

 

Was it weird when you noticed that your parents don’t bark and have no paws?

Well , I sometimes think they do bark, because my father tries to imitate my barking to annoy me…

 

Does your name have a special meaning?

I believe my pawrents wanted a strong name and with personality just like me.

 

What is your favourite place at home?

Mmmm, the couch.

 

What food do you eat?

I normally eat dry dog food, but mom gives me carrots and some fruits when she’s making dinner. And if I behave, do some tricks and pee and poop outside I get a lot of snacks. I give my paw frequently so I can get Cooka’s cookies.

 

And your favourite food?

I’m not sure yet, I believe it’s salmon …

 

If your mom and dad were dogs, what breed would they be?

If dad was a dog he would be a french bulldog and mom would be a corgi.

 

 

What you find most strange about hoomans?

They eat food with some instruments , what for?

 

And what you like most about hoomans?

They are always there for me, feed me, cuddle me and scratch my head …a lot

 

 If you were hooman, what would be your job?

I would be a singer, I practice every single night with my howling.

 

Do you like cats?

Well … our neighbour has a cat … I don’t like when she comes to our courtyard, she’s weird, I bark a lot but she doesn’t go away or play with me instead.

 

If you could take your pack on a Holiday, where would you go?

I would love to go to forest, so I can chase some rabbits.

 

And if you could take just 3 things with you, what would those be? 

I would take a looottt of snacks, a tennis ball and my pink kong.

 

 

Can you describe mommy and daddy in few simple words?

Mommy is sweet, hardworking and tolerant

Daddy is sometimes grumpy, confident and playful

 

And if you can describe yourself in 3 words?

Friendly, stubborn & smart

 

If you were voted pawsident, what would be your first change of law? 

I would allow me and my pawfriends to go everywhere, obviously with some rules. And if one of us is chained somewhere, the owner should be punished severely (huge fines even jail)

 

 

Are you planning on becoming a mommy/daddy yourself one day?

I would love to have a big family

What is the most challenging part about being a dog pawrent?

Having time to rest.

 

Is Custodia your first child? 

Yes, she is our first one.

 

 

Does she share your bed?

We dont’t share bed because Custódia can’t control her bladder, yet.

 

What is the one thing about your kid that makes you laugh the most?

When she gives her paw so frequently asking for more snacks, she’s just never satisfied…

 

What was the most naughty thing she  ever did?

She once caught 3 packs of snacks and ate it all in 20 minutes, was so bloated.

 

Are you planning on growing the pack?

We are planning on moving to a bigger house, so yes.

 

 

What would be your advice to new dog-parents?

Define your daily routine for proper feeding, elimination and sleeping. Be prepared for accidents but pick up everything that you don’t want to be destroyed or that is not safe for them, reward good behaviour, play and play …. and have I mentioned .. playing? Just go with an open heart and joyful things will happen.

 

What is the biggest reward for being a dog pawrent?

It is a big commitment but a bigger reward, we are never alone, it helps us cope with crisis, it make us more tolerant – it’s an Unconditional Love…
