Cooka's ultra-yummy 'Bark Bone' cake is inspired by our Beef Bone treats. Baked with more than 70% of freshly prepared beef meat, this cake is a real tail-wagger. Beef is rich in iron, zinc and B-vitamins which are essential for our fur-families, as they help to strengthen the immune system. We add fresh beetroot, this crimson 'super-tuber' which is a nutritional power-veggie and known to help cleanse the body from toxins and fresh carrots, rich in Vitamin A and important for bone growth and muscle health. We use oats, a gentle grain suitable for dogs with gluten sensitivities and rich in linoleic acid, a type of Omega 6 fatty-acid vital for the skin and fur. Our 'Bark Bone' is shown here with our delicious 'chocolate frosting', sprinkled with grated coconut or a creamy 'tropical frosting', decorated with crunchy oat flakes. This super delicious bone-shaped cake is a healthy choice for meat-lovers. Single protein cake

At Cooka’s we highly prize the heart of beef, which is a muscle meat just like other cuts of steak, but much denser and with an even higher nutrient and protein content. Beef heart contains all essential amino acids and is also rich in zinc, selenium and phosphorus. It also has more than double the elastin and collagen content than other cuts, which can help to promote healthy joints and to keep the fur shiny and the nails strong. Providing a highly concentrated source of Coenzyme Q10, which may help boost energy levels and strengthen the body’s defense system.
A nutritional powerhouse, these humble roots provide great health-benefits for all the family.
Their unusual antioxidant composition, notably Betaine – which also is to ‘blame’ for that lovely red blush, make beets an excellent addition in your dog’s diet. Betaine may help to protect cells, enhance performance and assist cleansing. Rich in iron, which is known to strengthen the blood and insoluble fibre which keeps the digestive system well balanced.
At Cooka’s we use fresh beetroots from local suppliers.
Most dogs enjoy carrots and Cooka absolutely adores them as a healthy chew. Those orange beauties are a highly concentrated source of Beta Carotene, which may promote strong vision, support a glossy fur and healthy skin and strengthen your dog’s natural defence system. Remarkably high in soluble fiber, carrots can also assist digestive health.
At Cooka’s we use fresh carrots from local suppliers.
Oats were grown already gown in ancient China and Greece. The Greeks were the first people to turn oats into porridge. Oats are among the healthiest grains on earth. They’re a gluten-free whole grain and a great source of Vitamin E and B, minerals like zinc, iron and selenium, rich in fibres and antioxidants. The many health-benefits of these grains include weight loss, lowering blood sugar levels and a reduced risk of heart problems. Compared to other grains, oats are rather high in protein and fat. Protein quality is also an important fact, meaning that that it can be easily digested and used by the body and provides a good balance of amino acids.
Oats can be a good source of nutrition for pets who have a dietary sensitivity to gluten. At Cooka’s we love that oats currently do not undergo any genetic engineering or modification. We hope this will stay like this…
