Who else loves comic movies as much as I do? And how about a hero dog named Scooby Doo? Do you know him? And do you know all the secrets about him? So mommy and daddy took a trip to Hollywood, yes – to meet Scooby – and this is what we found out…

PS: sadly I was not allowed on the trip as the plane ride is verrrry long and then their is immigration, where they put us doggies in some sort of cage room for quarantine… It sounds frightening, so of course, I declined the offer to fly to meet the stars…

Nope, my real name is Schoobert Doo.

Then why are you called Scooby-Doo?

Scooby’s name is taken from the song, Strangers in the Night, made famous by Frank Sinatra in 1966. Scoob’s name comes from the song’s refrain, “Scooby-dooby-doo”.

 

And your best friend Shaggy’s real name?

His real name is Norville Rogers.

My first appearance was in What a Night for a Knight, the 1969 episode of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!

 

What was the first ‘ghost’ that your encountered?

In What a Night for a Knight, I faced the evil Black Knight.

I guess one could say that I have two dads – Joe Ruby and Ken Spears, who created me.

 

Are you related to Scrappy-Doo related?

But yes, he is my nephew.

 

Is Scrappy-Doo a bad boy too, you know…a villain?

Once upon a time little Scrappy-Doo worked alongside Scooby-Doo the Mystery, Inc., but in 2002 – as seen in that year’s movie release of  Scooby-Doo movie, Scrappy was actually a villain. It still makes me very sad…

Scooby-Dum is my cousin. He is not the smartest, but means really well…

A Scooby Snack is a very delicious snack which I and Shaggy find very yummmy. But I would be very happy to try Cooka’s snacks next time…

 

Is there a Scooby-Doo series when you were staring as a puppy?

Yes, in the 1988 show, A Pup Named Scooby-Doo.

 

Tell us…did you ever meet Batman?

Yes – on a few occasions! I woof Batman and Robin and met them both in the TV series, The New Scooby-Doo Movies

 

Have you met other famous movie stars?

Yes. Once I worked with Sonny and Cher in The New Scooby-Doo Movies. And then there was this scary looking band – I think they are called Kiss – we played together in the Rock and Roll Mystery. Not sure I would ever kiss any of those guys…
